Time to use your imagination, it’s time to imagine an app for your computer browser that can help you with writing your sentences. No matter if you’re a blogger, vlogger, writer, or even using Facebook, sometimes you wish your sentence choice was better. I get it, I’ve been there. But what if I told you that there’s actually an app that does all those things and more?

Really! It’s called word tune and it’s been my lifesaver.

My run-in with a content mill’s support

As you may remember from one of my previous posts, I mentioned how I was told that I couldn’t write in English too well and that it was pretty obvious, and how it stung a lot to be told that. Let me jump back to the begging of the content mill stuff and explain what happened exactly because really it’s those words that speak to the writer aspect of me.

A few years ago I was writing for a writing mill, a website that pays you to write articles for people. I blindly took a task that I was sure that I could do. While in the middle of writing my task, it was about something technical that I really had no clue about. I admit it, I fumbled around with words and terminology. It happens, but I never expected to get the response back that I did.

The person who wanted me to write the article told me that they were pretty certain that I didn’t have any concept of the English language. I immediately thought, about the quiz I took in the beginning and the fact that it was an English-speaking quiz, that for some reason I may get retested because of the comment.

I immediately contacted the support page on the site to make sure that they wouldn’t test me. Bad idea! The woman point-blank told me that it was pretty obvious why they came up with that conclusion because my writing is horrendous. Yep, I left and never looked back. Her attitude was uncalled for, and my writing isn’t that bad!

What if I had Word Tune?

I do wonder sometimes if I used something like Word Tune if it would have made my writing better or easier to understand. I’m not going back ever, writing for an actual audience and not being told what to write is a lot better.

Let’s get to explaining what Word Tune is shall we?

How to use word tune

With Word Tune, it will give you a new sentence suggestion for a sentence that you’ve selected. It can make your sentences longer, shorter, change the tone of the sentence and

For my example take my little passage about the fall and why I like it.

I love the fall, the trees are colorful, the apple cider and my favorite holiday happens in the fall. Do you know what holiday that is? Halloween, the time where I can get spooky home décor that I can use all year long. What’s there not to like about Halloween? Better yet what’s there not to like about fall?

I love what I wrote, but what if I wanted to make my paragraph more serious?

I enjoy autumn; the trees display vibrant colored foliage, the taverns serve hot apple cider, and my favorite holiday of the year occurs in autumn. Do you know the name of that holiday? It’s Halloween. It's when I can get spooky decorations that I can use all year long. It is difficult to say anything bad about Halloween. Even more to the point how can one dislike fall?

Too serious? How about casual?

In the fall I love the trees, the cider and Halloween. Halloween means being spooky year-round. Halloween is awesome. Better yet, fall is amazing. There’s nothing not to like.

See how cool that was? All I had to do was use WordTune and I had a whole new paragraph with just a few clicks of the mouse. One was a lot shorter and I had to delete an extra sentence to the second example. But it’s really that easy!

Who should be using WordTune?

I believe anyone who’s writing for an audience or even people writing something personal should use WordTune. The free version is just as useful as the premium, the free version has all of the sentence changer tools! Sometimes the sentence choice is weird, but There’s no reason why it shouldn’t be a staple for every toolbar!

Question of the Day: Do you actually think that you’d use WordTuner?

Do kitty cats have bad habits? Freya-Baby says no way, the human girl says yes, totally Freya has bad habits. But..but girl human, I don't regret having them

I like waking the human girl up by pawing at her face and she hates it. She says, "Quit or I'll hit." She always says to quit or she'll hit, but she has never hit me ever, she needs to do it if she says she's going to do it. It's not a bad habit, it needs to be done because the human girl ignores me if I don't paw at her.

I am really picky when it comes to cat food or even human food at that matter. Man human buys vanilla sandwich cookies, the only kind I like are Oreos, the other cookies don't taste good. The same goes for oatmeal. I have a certain way I like my oats, and if they're done wrong, I won't eat them. I guess that's one thing I don't like that I do, I don't know if it's a habit.

I Freya-baby, have said way too much about being a cat with. I won't talk anymore about being a cat with bad habits again.

It’s almost been a month?! Wow! I’m feeling a bit better after being sick. I had no clue that I was going to get hit again with being sick. Yeah! I got sick again right after my strep-throat got better. It’s just my luck.

Getting Tested for COVID

The day that I got tested for strep, it was all I got tested for. I didn’t get tested for COVID, even though they were certain it wasn’t COVID. My only symptom at the time was a sore throat and a bit of a cough. Nothing else. But as the week progressed and I finished taking my antibiotics, I was still coughing, throat still hurt, my chest hurt, and I was exhausted.

I called the doctor's office two weeks ago, but because of my symptoms they told me I needed to get tested for COVID instead, and if my COVID test was negative, I’d need to go to the walk-in clinic because my doctor was out on vacation.

The hospital, literally in my back yard, had no available appointments to get tested for COVID, so I had to go to a doctor’s office, a town over. If you have yet to get tested, getting swabbed in your nose hurts, and if you’re sick it hurts even more. They also tested me for strep again.

Fantastic news about both tests! I was negative for COIVD and strep, and as time progressed, my cold, or whatever it maybe got better, so I didn’t have to go to the doctor to find out what illness I have.

A bucket list for Jen

After being sick, I have decided to start a bucket list for the rest of the fall and during the winter. It’d be nice to have a list of things that I want to do and hopefully get them done. My bucket list for the fall and winter isn’t that long and a lot of the things I want to do aren’t exceptionally hard, but there are a few things that I want to do.

Start my music blog: There are many reasons that I want to start a blog, one of the biggest reasons is something that has made me feel better when I’m sick, music is great therapy. The other reason is that I want to share music I’m listening to now or share a band that I’ve recently learned about.

Take a few online courses: I’ve talked about online camping, but I really want to take a few free online college courses. I’m still not sure what classes I want to take, but I’ll update about them when I have a chance.

Share a few giveaways: I love giveaways don’t you? Winning things for free is a lot fun. There’s really not much to do. I hope to eventually start my very own giveaway.

Start dieting and exercising: In the past few months I went from 115 pounds to 145. I’m not happy with my weight gain at all. I don’t feel as happy the weight I am. I’ve been looking at Sparknotes to get my meal plans and exercises from.

Share a blog post about some of the free apps/programs I use when blogging: Lastly, I want to share a few things I use during blogging a few things like LibreOffice, Grammarly, and Wordtune to name a few. You know something like sharing the tools of blogging.

It's not really a lot of stuff to do, and I’m sure I can get everything done during the fall and winter. I’m sure there’s going to be more things I’m going to add, but these are fine for right now. I don’t want to overwhelm myself.

In the end, I only need to remind myself to keep my head up and realize that goals are there and to keep trucking on during the pandemic. The pandemic changes things but it doesn't mean that you can't accomplish other things.

I’ll try to keep updated on my tasks.

Do you have any things you want to do this fall or winter?
